I can’t speak for everybody, but I can say that my head is in a hat and hood of some kind for probably 90% of winter. Keeping the chill off your neck is a blessing during “the long grey.” Second to boots, a heavy duty hoodie is an essential tool of the Washington winter. The Corner has doubled down on this fact, reloading on the favorite OG flagship “Farmer Hoodie,” that is a stellar base layer to any hard working individual of the outdoors. Shake Yer Pom Poms
Fresh from California, we’ve had an amazing run of pomegranates, with enough arils to give you the chills! That’s right, the “seed” you eat from a pom is technically an “aril.” These geodesic treasure boxes of delight are a true fall specialty, get them while they last! Perfect as a topper for a local radicchio salad, along with the the new fromage from Mystery Bay Farm. This Fromage Blanc is a cool colab project using the cows milk from Dungeness Valley Creamery. We have also had a great run on pomegranate’s fall cousin, the persimmon! We have both the “Fuyu” type and the “Hachiya” type, and always in varying states of ripeness, whether you need one for today or want to wait for your desired ripeness at home. The prevalence of these fall specialties, paired with the advent of new crop citrus season (limequat, anyone?) has us feeling grateful for the fruity side of life at the Corner.

Erik has helped us produce every silk screened item we’ve sold since the beginning of the merch department! Upgrade your favorite farmhand’s cold weather gear game with this iconic sweater. They will stand the test of time! Just ask, your farmer or contractor friends, who have been putting these sweatshirts to the test for years. Rosemary-Go-Round
The ink has dried on the plans for our Holiday baking program, and we are excited to herald the return of the “Ronde Entiere” (that’s french) of Rosemary Shortbread. Whole Rosemary Rounds are now available! And we plan to have them all the way through December. Also, landing later this week, we will have Cardamom Cake Rounds and whole Pumpkin Pies from the Corner Kitchen! All hail Hanni, the baking Queen!
Affordable Birdhousing
While the greenhouse is closed, there are still gardening surprises sprinkled throughout the Front Nursery zone. We have an amazingly eclectic mix of birdhouses from The Tough Sprout, a Port Townsend based multi-generational artisan project that upcycles mixed woods into quaint homes for local feathered friends. These make excellent holiday gifts for special folks in your life. Each one is unique, and there are some very groovy asymmetrical ones in the bunch this year! Check them out in the front tunnel on your next stop in.
