PRODUCE DEPARTMENT:

Closing Clerk

Join a team that is passionate about produce and our local farming community. Help us prep our award-winning produce porch with local organic fruits and veggies, and share our love of produce with the community! We are especially known for our work supporting local farms, but we also work with several small organic farms throughout Washington and with various large organic wholesale distribution suppliers.

Our ideal produce clerk has produce-handling experience (farm or retail), efficient work habits, and great teamwork. This is a physically demanding position that requires standing for the duration of shift, working in a partially open air environment that includes heat and cold; frequent lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds; and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.

This is a part-time closing position, Thursday-Saturday. Shifts are 18-21 hours per week, Thursday-Saturday, 2:00-9:00pm (2-8pm in the fall and winter). Responsibilities include prepping produce for the retail floor, stocking displays, and closing duties. Produce clerks generally start at $18.25/hour, with room to grow within a wage range of $18.25-$22.25. Benefits for part time employees include great employee discounts, vision and dental insurance, EAP, Paid Time Off, free coffee and tea during work shifts, and working with a great crew of coworkers.
