Walking tour with the
Jefferson Land Trust

The Jefferson Land Trust has been working with landowners and other partners to help permanently protect habitat, farmland, and forestland in and around Chimacum since 1989. Participants on this walk will visit some of the protected properties in Chimacum, observing some of the habitat and farmland features. Their guide will help folks understand past and planned futures of these protected lands, and the surrounding landscape.

Jefferson Land Trust is a private, nonprofit, community-driven conservation organization in Jefferson County. Landowners typically work with a Land Trust when they want to permanently protect wetlands, floodplains, farmland, wildlife corridors, working forests, and scenic areas from inappropriate development.
