For 24 years, Jefferson County Farm Tour has done one simple thing: opened farm gates so our community can meet the people who grow our food, fiber, and farm-made products. It's how we celebrate local agriculture, connect neighbors with the farmers who feed us, and help these farms thrive economically. None of it happens without volunteers standing at those gates.

We have 24 open volunteer spots! Of those, there are a handful that have zero volunteers signed up. Without someone there, visitors arrive to an empty welcome table — no map, no donation collection, no friendly face representing the farm's story.

As a Welcome Greeter volunteer, you'll welcome guests, hand out maps and stickers, collect donations, and get to hear firsthand what makes that farm special. As thanks, you'll receive a Farm Tour tote bag with local artwork by Jesse Watson and a raffle ticket to our After Party at Finnriver Saturday evening.

This event is community-powered. We can’t maintain this tradition without people like you saying yes for a few hours. If you can't make one of these shifts but know someone who might, please pass this along.
